CoViCES Project Wins Gold at SUSED2025

Our project, Competency-Based Video Conferencing Education Suite (CoViCES), has been awarded the Gold Prize in the Educational Research Innovation Category at The Fourth International Competition on Sustainable Education 2025 (SUSED2025).

CoViCES addresses the challenges of synchronous online and hybrid teaching by integrating pedagogy with technology. Developed through a Design Thinking methodology, it introduces:

  • Video conferencing toolkits aligned with pedagogical best practices
  • Open Educational Resources (OERs) on technical and instructional aspects
  • Competency matrices for digital and pedagogical skills
  • Self-assessment tools to track proficiency and growth
  • A reproducible Educator Training Workshop Model for scalable adoption

With its culturally adaptive toolkits, competency frameworks for synchronous video-based learning, and sustainable training models, CoViCES contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by fostering inclusive, effective, and future-ready digital education.

This recognition highlights our commitment to advancing sustainable digital education and empowering educators worldwide.
